About the role

This role sits at the center of The Destination Channel’s growth engine and reports directly to the Executive Producer. As Director of Client Strategy & Marketing Development, you will shape how our media — from Staycation episodes to digital campaigns — becomes a high-impact marketing system for vacation rentals, boutique hotels, and property management groups.

You’ll lead the development of our marketing frameworks, client strategy, and revenue-driving initiatives, working cross-functionally with production, editorial, partnerships, and sales to build scalable systems that turn cinematic storytelling into measurable business results. Your work will elevate how clients appear across platforms, how our brand shows up in the market, and how our content drives direct bookings and long-term visibility.

In this role, you will:


  • Build and lead the marketing division from the ground up, developing SOPs and systems that turn our media assets into effective marketing and sales tools.

  • Create and execute marketing frameworks that drive direct bookings, exposure, and engagement for short-term rentals, boutique hotels, and featured destinations.

  • Collaborate with editors and creative teams to produce social and paid media campaigns using Staycation footage and property content.

  • Develop client-specific marketing strategies that integrate analytics, storytelling, and ad spend optimization to increase ROI.

  • Manage ongoing B2B marketing partnerships with property management companies, boutique hotels, and tourism boards.

  • Oversee campaign reporting, conversion metrics, and data insights to prove measurable success across booking and awareness KPIs.

  • Identify and execute new opportunities that expand The Destination Channel’s media-driven marketing revenue streams.

Who you are

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing leadership, client strategy, or growth management,  ideally in travel, hospitality, or luxury real estate.

  • Proven ability to connect creative storytelling to business outcomes (bookings, conversions, revenue growth).

  • Experience developing SOPs for scalable marketing operations and integrating cross-departmental workflows.

  • Deep understanding of social, paid, and influencer marketing within the vacation rental and travel space.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing relationship skills.


  • Analytical mindset with a creative edge, able to interpret data to refine messaging and campaign direction.
